Your wedding family photo list, sorted.

List who matters, add a face for anyone your photographer won’t know, and we’ll build the shot list in the order that keeps Gran sitting down and nobody hunting for Uncle Joe.

        Anything your photographer should know

Separated parents, someone who hates photos, a surprise. It stays between you and them.

Add people above to flag anyone who should stand apart.

        Why it matters

        The photo on Nana’s wall.

Family photos are ten minutes of your day and the photos that get framed. A little planning means the people who matter most are in them, and comfortable.

        How it works

Ten minutes now, a calmer wedding day.

        Add your family

Type names or paste a list from your notes app. Add a photo of anyone your photographer won’t recognise.

        02

        Get your shots, in order

We suggest the classic groupings and order them so Gran goes first and nobody is called back twice.

        03

        Send it with one link

Your photographer gets every shot with faces, and can run the whole thing from their phone on the day.

        Why the order matters

The same list, twice as fast.

Most delays come from people moving between photos. Ordering the shots so each one changes as few people as possible is how photographers fit fifteen groupings into twenty-five minutes.

        Questions

What should be on a wedding family photo list?+

Each grouping you want, written with first names: for example “Couple with Siobhán and Declan (Mum and Dad)”. Most lists cover parents, grandparents, siblings and their families, aunts, uncles and cousins in one group per side, and the wedding party. Add who needs a chair and anyone who shouldn’t stand together.

How many family photos should we plan for?+

Most couples are happy with 10 to 15 groupings, which takes about 20 to 30 minutes. The planner shows a live time estimate as you add shots.

What order should wedding family photos be taken in?+

Older relatives and small children first, one family at a time, starting with the biggest group and releasing people a few at a time. The planner does this ordering for you and shows who steps in and out at each shot.

Is the family photo list planner free?+

Yes. It’s free for couples, with no account or sign-up. Your list is saved on your device until you choose to send it.

How do I send the list to my photographer?+

Press “Send to our photographer” to get a private link you can email or WhatsApp. Your photographer sees every shot in order, with faces, plus a caller mode they can use on the day. You can also print it or save it as a PDF.

Who can see our family photo list?+

Only people you send the private link to. Lists aren’t public and aren’t indexed by search engines.
